History

 - 1969
Foundation of the company as a one-man business by EUGEN ROLD in a 100 sq m sized workshop. Cutting tools for the automotive and watch- and clock making industry were produced.

- 1971
Beginning of the manufacture of injection moulds. The first apprentice is taken on.

- 1974-1978
Building extension / Market entry in CNC technology in the fields of milling and wire eroding.

- 1982
The company founder's son ADELBERT ROLD joined the management. The EUGEN ROLD GmbH was set up with the partners EUGEN ROLD and ADELBERT ROLD. This constellation still represents the ownership structure today.

- 1984
Building extension / Projects with hot-runner technology, layered construction, multi-colour/ multi- component technologies are achieved.
Investment in our own injection moulding machines in order to be able to carry out the closed process chain construction/production/sample inspection/testing. New accents are placed in cutting tool construction for the manufacture of foil processing tools. 

- 1988
CAD/CAM was introduced and the connection of important CNC machines was implemented.

- 1996
Switch-over to 3D-CAD/CAM and introduction of HSC technology.

- 2004
Considerable extension to the building increasing to approx. 3000 sqm with air conditioning of areas relevant for precision engineering.

- 2006
Extension of the technological centre to 8 machines in the field of injection moulding.

- 2008 – heute
Investments in state-of-the-art production and measurement technology.

EUGEN ROLD GmbH today employs 45 employees, including 4 apprentices and exports approx. 30% of its products all over the world.
